Looks like someone's been getting up to a little mischief!
Meet Crab Capers — a colourful collection of quirky shapes that look as though they're scuttling across the canvas, heading off on its own little adventure.
That's one of the things I love about painting intuitively. I start with a blank canvas, my palette knife and a few colours, and then simply see what happens. No plan, no rules, just one mark leading to another.
And before I knew it, these cheeky little characters seemed to appear!
With splashes of soft pink, buttery yellow, rich burgundy and warm golden ochre, Crab Capers has a wonderful sense of movement and playful energy.
Of course, you might not see a crab at all. That's the beauty of abstract art. Everyone brings their own imagination to a painting, and I love hearing what other people discover.
Painted in thick, expressive palette knife oils, the raised marks create wonderful texture and little shadows, while the crisp white background gives every shape and colour room to shine.
A joyful, one-of-a-kind original that brings warmth, colour and a little coastal mischief into your home. Perfect for a hallway, living room or anywhere that could do with a splash of personality.
One painting. One owner. A whole lot of mischief.
