Sometimes nature creates the best abstract art of all.
I’m always drawn to the colours, shapes and textures you find in nature, and the beautiful markings of this tree were too good not to paint. Look closely and the bark becomes its own little abstract world — soft blues, earthy browns, creamy neutrals and unexpected flashes of green.
Painted in oils with expressive palette knife marks, Natures Beauty celebrates those imperfect details in nature that make something beautiful. I particularly love the contrast between the strong sculptural trunk and all that fresh green growth around it.
A richly textured original designed to bring a little of the outdoors — and plenty of colour and personality — into your home.
Original oil painting — 40 x 50 x 3 cm on canvas.
