What do you see? I’m not going to tell you.
That’s one of the things I love most about abstract painting. Two people can stand in front of the same piece and see something completely different — and neither one is wrong.
Secret Vows You Will began without a plan. No sketch, no predetermined outcome. Just me, my oils, a palette knife and that wonderful process of adding a mark, responding to it, changing direction and allowing the painting to tell me where it wants to go.
Colour, texture and shapes gradually emerge until eventually there’s that moment when something in me says — stop, it’s finished.
What it becomes from there is entirely up to you.
Original oil painting — 76 x 76 x 3 cm on canvas.
