Sometimes you just have to throw yourself into the colour and see what happens.
I visited Trinidad in 2012 and experienced Carnival — the colour, music, movement and sheer joy of it was unforgettable. It was one of those experiences where everyone seemed to be completely in the moment and simply having a good time.
Anything Goes grew from that feeling.
I paint my abstracts intuitively, without knowing exactly where they’re going. One colour leads to another, one palette knife mark changes the next, and I keep following the painting until it feels finished.
Perhaps you’ll see something completely different in it than I do. I hope you do. That’s part of the fun.
