Some trees just make you stop and look.
I’m constantly drawn to the colours, shapes and textures found in the Australian landscape. There’s something about an old gum tree — twisted, weathered and completely individual — that feels full of character.
Painted predominantly with a palette knife, Standing Tall celebrates those wonderful imperfections. Thick layers of warm orange, rust and earthy browns sit against soft blue sky and fresh greens, allowing the marks and texture of the paint to become part of the landscape itself.
For me, it’s a little reminder to look up, slow down and notice the beauty we so often just pass by.
